17" drag tires???

17\" drag tires???

Does anyone know if there is a 17" tire that will fit on the stock viper rear rims for drag racing applications? I haven't had any luck finding tires that will fit the rims. I have a spare set of 17" rears that I wanted to use for this. Please don't suggest kumho's as i have tried this route and have found once the tires heat up, they turn to grease on me for the 1/4 mile

M/T makes a 17" et street. An 11" rim is suggested but 13" will probably work........but, I wouldn't suggest running the big radials up front with the et street. That leaves you with drag radials which would probably your best choice (except for buying Purner slicks/skinnies). Bfg makes a little bigger size drag radial than m/t. The suggested rim is 11" - 12" on the bfg, that should work on your 13" wheel.
