I have an after market 2008 hood on my 2003...

Looks great..Fitment wasnt easy but lookin very nice ..

But the underside of the hood is just nasty....No pad or anything..

Ill post a pic of the hood as Im unsure what brand it is...I priced the 2008 underpad at the dealer and it was only 168$$$..I figuered theyed want 400$ since it's a Viper and all...

So Im thinking about picking it up but unsure how carbon copy perect my 2008 look a like hood is to the real deal..

I suggest that you contact the manufacturer of the clone hood. That should be able to provide the information that you want. In fact, they may be able to supply you with a pad made for that hood.

The 2008 - 2009 OE Hood Pad (parts lists calls it an Insulator) list price is $128 USD. Someone is trying to make an extra $40.
