Well the heads are off, I immediately found the gasket to be cracked from the coolant passage to the #7 cylinder and showing signs of the same on at least three other cyls. to the naked eye the heads appear to be ok but I will let the machine shop be the judge...at the minimum they need to be slightly resurfaced and cleaned up.
To my knowledge the motor is untouched with 32,000 miles this is likely the firs set of gaskets.Does anyone know if the head bolts are one time use? there's no mention in the service manual
Well so far so good (knocking on wood) and thanks for the info
I'm sure I'll be back with more questions

Now that you have the heads off it's time to do a valve job, and yes; replace the head bolts. And one thing very important.... Be sure to chase all the head bolt threads in the block with a tap before you install the heads.

Doug
