97 - 02 rear caliper question

are the rear 02 calipers the same part as the 97's ?

one of our members needs a replacement for his 97 and there's an 2002 set going spare over here

no 01-02 are ABS calipers, 00-older are none ABS with smaller pistons.

The dealer cost for the 1992-2000 brakes is so high (US$450 per caliper here) that you can get the 40mm upgrade and return cores for less money and end up with a better system. For some reason the 2001-2002 ABS calipers are only $100 or so.

PM me the details of what is wrong and maybe we can fix it, too.

not sure he just said it was sticking on occassionally, so maybe a seal has perished.

He's off to germany on a UK club trip in a couple of weeks to The Ring and the N'ring F1 track next door, so he wanted to get it sorted just incase

Yes those rear calipers on Gen I, and II's look pitiful for a companies "Supercar".

though it can also be used as naff off/get lost/get f**ked

The truth is it came off a T-Bird SC FIRST...and then Ford used it a while on certain Moustongues beginning 1994.
