I just received my latest issue of Viper magazine and on page 42 in the lifestyles section is an article of my son taking his Drivers test.
This will be a cool story for him to tell the rest of his life.
Anyone else know of somebody that took their test in a viper?:drive:

So did the driving instructor have a grin:D on his face for being able to give the test in a Viper?

Nice to see the confidence you have for your son's driving skills.
The day I got my 08 last Sept, I did let both my sons 21 and 24 have a spin in the brand new Viper...... but NOT MY WIFE!!!!

Driving test in a Viper? As the license instructor, I would've been scared crapless. As a student, I would've prob ran us both off a cliff if I had a Viper at 16. I took my test in my aunt's Buick-something and thought I owned the world. Can't imagine being lucky enough to do it in a Viper! Congrats to your son!!

There was a guy standing next to my wife as my son drove off with the instructor and he said "please tell me you didn't give him that car for his 16th birthday". She told him that he only gets to drive it when were with him.

I figured that if I taught my (2) boys about the vipers, let them drive them then they would respect them and not want to take them out as soon as my wife and I were away on a vacation.
So far that theory has worked!

You are my new role model! If I was your son I'd had someone video tape me actually driving the Viper, especially during a driving test. All my friends would have called BS without the video.

Here's what I went pimpin in during the driving test (paint was slightly better).

My coolest experience was letting my son take his first drive ever in my Viper. Told him we were going to the store and headed to a big parking lot. The look of excitement and sheer terror on his face was priceless. He did scare me the first time as the Viper gas pedal is so light as compared to the clutch. I did have a pretty firm grip on the parking brake though - just in case.
