i mistakenly spent $1800 for a clutch from RPS and thats only part of it. i am so **********! When i was shopping for clutches i spoke to the owner Rob and he told me his carbon clutch was the best one on the market and that all the major tuners use them. He told me that if it did not work for me he would GIVE ME A FULL REFUND!

Well, its been over a year and I HAVEN'T RECEIVED A PENNY! it cost me over $1600 in labor alone installing 3 of his clutches that were totally a NIGHTMARE! i finally replaced the RPS one with a stock factory clutch that works now.
The aggravation alone from all of this makes me want to sue them.

Beware, i hope nobody else gets scammed by RPS and their carbon viper clutch thats worthless!!!!!!

That carbon/carbon clutch *****. I took mine off recently. hate that it cost 1800. Rob sent me a replacement of the _new_ type at no charge and i've have no issues with it. i had to pay to have it installed, though... as did you.

3 clutches? are they all the same? or differnet ones?

The one I have now isn't the carbon / carbon... it is whatever the new set-up is. Seems to be 1000 times better than the older one. I got 30 or so drag-strip passes on it too...

RPS... owner named Rob... that sounds really familiar. Ask around on some of the F-Body forums, I remember hearing of some bad experiences those guys were having with RPS

We've been actively testing the Mcleod and it hooks like crazy Vs stock. The owner drives his car on the street every day as well as drag races from light to light and it's held up well so far.

Thanks for the information. I was wondering which would be a better design. I've heard of that clutch but didn't know anybody that uses it? The RPS was horrible! Can you slip the clutch out of the hole and do you now how much power it can handle?
Thanks,

-Lou
