Anyone Ever Chrome Plate an Intake?

Anyone ever chromed a manifold? I was thinking it might look cool! I've seen them polished, but never chromed. Has it ever been done?

You can plate magnesium... it's not as simple as steel or aluminum but it can be done.

Check these guys out (no personal experience with them but they show magnesium parts they have done)

It may cause the manifold to be less heat-resistant though - not sure. It would be purely a looks thing, obviously

The intake isn't magnesium you retard! It's aluminum! The valve covers are magnesium!

Stop,the intake manifold is alum. not mag. plating
would be very expensive,due to size and shape the plater
would have a very hard time getting uniform coverage.

I was thinking that if they can make a spoked wheel look good, they should be able to do a manifold just as easily. Around the same size too. A wheel doesn't cost too much.
