Anyone tried Redline MT90 to quiet down the tranny?

My tranny sounded like a big truck with straight-cut gears, so I put in some Redline MT90 (not the MTL). Really helped with the noise. Did not even have NGR. Now it looks like I have a second gear synchro problem (upshifting from first to second = no problem, but downshifting into second or letting out the clutch while coasting in second = loud rattle clatter that sound not like a grind, but like teeth that are very close in speed are trying to mesh). Also has serious NGR now. Ugh this car is gonna kill me. Wanted a fun hobby and got money pit PITA.

Far from an expert here, but every time I deviated from what the factory recommended (fluids) I regretted it... Had a gearbox explode using Redline in a Mustang, and also problems with tranny in Saab Turbo using Redline. Funny part is they both shifted smoother and were quieter with the Redline until the problems occurred. Just a coinsidence? Maybe.. But I never deviate from factory fluids anymore.....

I have no experience with the MT90. Have always had great success with Reline D4ATF. Much better feel, quicker synchro engagement, quicker/easier shifts. Many of the Viper Days participants use it.
