Has any one used these on their viper and what are your thoughts I am considering them or stop tech but I like the look of the APRACING a little better

Is their are reason your rotors are only slotted and not cross drilled ?

Slotted are not ideal for road racing. If you read just about any MAJOR publication on rotors and racing, crossdrilled tend to be weaker, offer NO additional heat dissapation and the cross drilling tends to create stress cracks. While cross drilling looks kool in racing they are not the best. Also if you see cross drilled rotors after a race the holes get caked closed quite often from the brake dust.

Mike, I have these on my Shelby Durango and they work awesome. My only complaint was the brake dust (which shouldn't be a problem on Viper - EBC's).

Mike, I am also looking at going with AP Racing brakes. The front calipers are what Sean Roe is using.
I believe Mike H. meant to say that cross drilling is not good for road racing. Slotted is definitely the way to go and I would highly recommend you look
into StopTech or BrakeMan systems. Both are sponsors for Viper Days, and have alot of experience in the Viper Road Racing and street market. Bob

I have never heard of anyone not liking the Stoptech 4 piston setup. My .02 on that is the Viper 4 piston front is an offtake manufactured by Brembo for Viper. So the Stop Tech setup really is an addition of a rear 4 piston setup. I don't see any vast improvement over the stock Viper 4 piston front. The stock setup's weal point is the rear brakes and the balance of braking; front to back. The 6 piston setup uses larger brakes ( more surface area, 6 pistons covering more piston area than 4, giving more stopping power and 6 piston AP's have been around for a long time, with a great reputation also. I like the 6 piston front , 4 piston rear setup. One thing to note depending on the year of the Viper, I beleive the older cars had only a 1" piston in the master cylinder versus newer years having a 1.5" cylinder. Someone correct me on that if I am wrong. That all being said, I also have an upgraded master cylinder and brake bias control. That is my .02 on the subject. Yes, Sean Roe sells the setup and he supplied them for me.

PS: I would not increase the front brakes without looking at rear brakes as you may intensify the Vipers front braking, causing the rear to get loose and may create front wheel lockup. I have seen this problem before.

Is their any tests out their on how much better ther 4 wheel brake system works than just the front system ?

Mike....I do know one team mate Lenny D. put the 4 wheel Stop Tech's on his car an it was a Huge improvement. I did a Brembo 4 piston all around kit and it was also huge difference. The 6 piston and 4 rear from AP should be even better.
I think Stoptech did have a a test up on their site of the difference from "stock" to their 4 wheel 4 piston setup.

I have StopTech front from Bill P. The setup is great, but going to more calipers you are really not changing anything. The stopping distance will be very similar. The major difference with aftermarket brakes is that they stop w/o fading on the first lap as well as on the last one. StopTech is as good as AP or Brembo for 50% less but you can't go wrong with any of those three.

Eldiablo...Are you saying that a 2 piston rear caliber is no different than a 6 piston caliper? are you crazy? Are you saying that a 355MM area of brake pad surface is the same as 275 mm of surface?

I was talking about front 4 Vs 6. If you can lock up your brakes with the current setup than what more stopping power can do? You'll need better/bigger tires to stop quicker and not more calipers.
