Archer Racing Tow Hooks - Questions.

For those of you that have purchased the 2-Piece (front / Rear) Archer Racing Tow Hooks, I have a couple of questions, please:

Rear Piece:

1. It looks to me like there is a bolt threaded into the end on the rear frame rail. Is that bolt very short? Did you "hit" that end bolt when you drilled your two holes through the angled part of the rail?

2. Did you place the rear on the Driver side or Passenger side? Does it matter?

3. How did you get on top of the frame to thread on the nuts to the thru- bolts? Did you take out the whole battery box (driver side). Passenger side? I have yet to figure out an easy way to get "on top" of those frame rails.

Thanks..

Fronts:

1. Why do you figure they took the time to provide two (2) holes? Can we cut off the front part of the bracket and feed a nylon strap to the rear hole, thereby eliminting any part of the front bracket sticking out of the front facia?

1. No problems with hitting the bolt.
2. I put both front and rear tow hooks on the passenger side. Just thinking that if it needs to be towed, the car will probably be on the right shoulder of the road and that might provide a better "angle of attack" for the tow truck.
3. I just removed the inner wheel well cover.
