Are Gen1 and II Shift and E-Brake boots the same?

I have noticed in a few pictures that some people have a chrome e-brake lever showing from under their E-Brake Boot, while mine is black. Is that aftermarket? Are all of the Gen 1 and 2 boots the same? Or do they differ?

Yeah... I've been wanting to get my 97 gts interior too look more like a 99+. The brushed metal door levers looks better too.
