Well, you may have noticed that the loudmouth (well, verbose typist) from Kansas City wasn't posting much lately. I sent my car off October 28 to have engine work done on my beast. I have replied to the posts I felt I could help with, as well as read just about every single one posted. Still, there was an empty space in my garage and in my heart. No more!
I got my car back today and could not be happier. Runs like a top and looks great, especially having been at a "dealership" for over two months. Of course, I say "dealership" because it's hard to think of Woodhouse Dodge in such mundane terms. These guys and gals at Woodhouse are car people through and through. Many own Vipers and all show the respect that I think these cars deserve. As one local member here in Kansas City said recently, "It's not so much the great price or the friendly service that makes Woodhouse great. While those are important, the true measure of Woodhouse is shown in the fact that they are true car guys. You know they are being honest with you and that makes them so much more than a dealership." I would heartily agree, as they kept me posted every step of the way as my car was rejuvenated. Not only did the service guys call and let me know as things were happening, but both Bill and Bob gave me a jingle now and then to let me know my baby was doing fine.
Anyway, enough about those guys at Woodhouse. Getting this car back after two months was like taking delivery all over again. This car inspires a passion that is often beyond words. Beautiful, powerful, and with a stance that simply says, "Let's do it." I am sorry, but if you truly are a car guy (or gal) and enjoy driving them more than collecting them, the Viper is simply second to none. It's my wife's birthday today, and I have been a good boy and only gone out to the garage 50 times or so in the past few hours. I wanted to write a quick (yeah, quick) post and thank the folks at Woodhouse for their outstanding service. They service 'em just like they sell 'em: Perfectly.
Chris
PS. I am told that Woodhouse has several of those nifty ABS-equipped 2001's available TODAY, including a couple in yellow. They even have some of those rare colors from 2000 left over. Bill Pemberton: 1-800-889-1893.
