broken lever to hood

I just tried to lift the hood for reoutine maintenace and the hood pinbroke. now i have no access.?? :shocked:

It's got to be the fascia lever Mike. I broke mine a couple years ago and you have to replace the whole thing cablees and all.

Chuck Tator gave me a deal on the part, can't remember the price without digging up the reciept.

Assuming just your handle broke, let me save you $150. Unbolt the broken handle assembly from the car. Remove the broken handle from the two eyelets on the end of each of the two hood release cables. Re-attached the bracket that hold the ends of the two cables to the car using the stock hardware, then go to Ace or some other hardware shop and buy a tear-drop shaped key ring. Put the key ring through both eyelets (small end in the eyelets and big en down) and you know have a $2 bull ring mod that you pull straight down to open your hood. All this will make total sense once you get in there and take it apart.
