Stock 99 wasn't welded... just bolts. Brute Force and WD-40 took it off in almost no time. I put a Borla on myself and it wasn't bad. With a tall jack or two it isn't hard. if your jacks are short, your back might hurt after a while...

Joseph - you mean 4 - 3 or 4 tons jack lifting it to about 1 - 1.5 clearance would be enough? ( I ask due to them being pretty cheap. or just go with a garage lift costing anywhere fomr $1,500 on up...lol

He probably means the cats and muffler is all welded. It is bolted to the manifold/headers. P.S. I snapped a bolt when removing and I wish I had a set on hand. I had to wait until Monday to order so the car had to sit for days until I got the new bolts.

If you are talking about the catback, it is easy to do with just jackstands or even if you just back the car up on ramps. See the 'How To' section for some info and pics of my Corsa install.

???????
Can you be more specific?

Wrenches and WD40 should do it.
Sorry, I meant to say the cats are welded to the mufflers. I think he wants to replace both. The cats/mufflers were welded together on my '01.
:)

Cats are welded to the front pipe. There is a clamp between **** (resonators) and cat!
Sorry, not trying to bust anyones balls here!

yep. Cats are welded to the front pipe, and resonators are clamped to the Cats. Rear section is clamped to the resonator section. (if applicable)
