Code question

[Chuck 98 RT/10]

A friend's viper popped codes p0175 and p0172. Too rich bank 1 and 2.
Any idea where to look first to find out what caused the problem?

Just a guess, but I would try testing the O2 sensors.

Check your email Chuck, i"m pretty fimiliar with this... Had it happen a couple times. Does it say UPSTREAM or DOWNSTREAM?

These codes are a result of readings from the upstream O2s only. Both right and left are reading rich. How many miles on the clock? Any mods? Is the car running poorly/like it's short a few cylinders?
