Got my 2001 100% Stock GTS dynoed yesteday. These numbers are much more believeable than my previous dyno done by someone else. I now have a good baseline.

RWHP 401.1
RWTQ 441.1

Just for grins what do these convert to at the crank ??

Thanks in advance
Matt

This was on a DynoJet. I had one done on Mustang type previously and the numbers were way off. It had said I had 459 RWHP/ 509RWTQ. Obviously, I wasn't buying it even though the tuner swore by them.

divide or multiply by 0.85(?)

471.88 HP crank
518.94 TQ crank

Divide when RW is known to get crank(?)

Multiply when crank is known to get RW (?)

401 x 15% for Dynojet (25% or so for Mustang) = 461 crank hp
441 x 15% for Dynojet (25% or so for Mustang) = 507 crank tq

Not quite right actually. You can't just add 15% of the WHP number because it's 15% AFTER the drive-train loss. You want 15% of the BEFORE drive-train loss number.

401 WHP is 85% of 471.75 CHP (roughly). 471.75*.85=400.9875
441 WTQ is %85 of 518.75 CTQ (roughly). 518.75*.85=440.9375

From and old, but interesting post awhile back (10/7/03 actually):

FWD cars - add 10 bhp to the wheel figure and divide the result by 0.9

RWD cars - add 10 bhp to the wheel figure and divide the result by 0.88

4WD cars - add 10bhp to the wheel figure and divide the result by 0.84

To estimate the expected wheel bhp from a known flywheel bhp just reverse the equations

FWD - multiply flywheel power by 0.9 and then deduct a further 10 bhp

RWD - multiply flywheel power by 0.88 and then deduct a further 10 bhp

4WD - multiply flywheel power by 0.84 and then deduct a further 10 bhp

------------------------------------------------

So I'd say:

467 bhp
513 btq
