The Corsa exhaust I installed solved the only complaint I had with my Viper. The inside temp. of the car must have dropped by 15 degrees after I got rid of those crossover factory pipes.

That's awesome!:2tu: Can't wait to install the Corsa Track System on my 06' SRT-10. Chuck said to also order the Insulating Heat Blanket to wrap around the cats and mufflers to cut down even more on the inside temperatures. I'm also looking forward to a louder popping/burble sound that comes out the exhaust on deceleration.:drive:

I found the same thing, an amazing decrease in internal temps after I installed it. Congrats on the exhaust; hec of a mod - hp increase, better sound, and cooler interior/sills.

Has anyone ever heard the Mopar Exhaust?

And if so, how does it compare to the Corsa? (Idle, Cruise, WOT, etc.)

My Bud has the Mopar on his '04, and it's just too loud IMO, but it is cooler inside than my stock '06.

I'd love to get rid of the heat, but I really don't want the car much (if any) louder than stock. At least for now.

The corsa track is not that much louder at idle/cruise than the stock; I chose the Corsa after hearing the Mopar; The corsa does come alive above 3000RPM but not annoyingly so.

Can anyone give a little more info on the Mopar vs the Corsa exhaust? Idle, cruise, wot, louder or deeper and how the tips look?
Thanks..

The Mopar exhaust is made by Borla and can be seen here at this link. You have the choice of leaving the crossover on or off with their system. I have put it back on my house car with our AtRo exhaust after running side pipes without the crossover as I now have a better sounding exhaust and more power with it installed than when I removed it. I have seen no increase in side sill temperature with the crossover put back in the car. The reduction in heat comes from replacing the mufflers. Also a lot of heat can be reduced bu replacing the 4 stock cats with high flow cats from Random Technologies which only use 1 cat per side. More heat reduction can be obtained by wrapping the cat and exhaust system as Chuck Tator mentioned above. I am running our exhaust system with RT cats and can put my hands on the side sill at any time. Installing Rt cats with any manufacture exhaust system and wrap will sole the heat problem.

How much hp increase are we talking about?

Bat™

When I called Corsa tech they told me to count on at least 20 rwhp, not bad for essentially changing ****'s and tailpipe.

I did a baseline & am heading back for a followup with the exhaust now on & will post results soon.

Installed the Corsa Track Exhaust and the insulating heat shields, and got a whopping 42rwhp just from the change from stock (crossover = HEAT), also flow-thru cats make a difference, and yeah, the POPPING on decel is awesome...the sound is not overwhelming, but IS louder than stock (headers included). More than happy with the Corsa. ~juli~

Is it true that a cat exhaust can ruin my engine?

Not sure what you're describing - do you mean a hi flo cat exhaust or a catless exhaust?

Either one of the above will not ruin your engine. There are guys running all kinds of setups here so what ever you're considering someone probably has experience with it or very similar.

Not sure what you mean here---have flow-thru cats, which have 2 cats removed, 2 remain (as required by emissions here, or they'd be off)....and do not affect the engine, as the exhaust is pulled thru rather quickly now, better than the crossovers. Love the sound of the Corsa, :smokin: that was recommended by Sean Roe of roeracing, but others' like the borla, belanger, b&b, etc....to each their own, whatever works for that particular person.
