Don is very well respected and recognized on the GC/SRT-8 forum. I've personally dealt w/ him, non-viper related, and can say that he does what he says. Seeing how most on this forum are genuinely and/or curiously exited about the arrival of the '08's, should that curiosity turn into sales, the supply and demand rule would come into play making the sale of any Viper at or near invoice rather unjustifiable.

I personally doubt they will be able to fulfill many (if any) as they probably don't have the allocation. Tator's can't take orders as they have sold out of their 2008 allocation and I can't imagine this guy is far behind. Also interesting to note that a local yokel dealer near Kansas City promised the exact same thing (after "liquidating" several '04/'05's he bought with BIG incentives) and recently informed one of our members that they have decided to "adjust for market conditions" and are going to charge him $7500 OVER sticker for the car he already ordered and put a deposit on. This, despite the fact he had already bought one Viper and one SRT10 Ram from them.

Apparently Chrysler isn't thrilled with it either and is considering eliminating as many as 1000 dealers by trimming the product line. "The plan would allow Chrysler, which seeks to return to profitability by 2009, to drop some of its overlapping products. That in turn would eliminate underperforming dealerships carrying excess inventory and using incentives that cut into profitability." Not to mention that these "fire sale" dealerships do nothing to help the value of Vipers overall.

Okay, off my soapbox and back to your regularly scheduled programming... :soapy:

Bill Pemberton at Woodhouse has me under contract around MSRP for an 08. Don't forget him.

OK Dave,

What does "around MSRP" mean?
