Diameter of the Corsa Tire

I measured the rear Corsa tires tonight. The spec is supposed to be 27.4", it isn't, at best the tire is 27". On the car the tire measures 26.75"?? This does not mean a lot unless you are considering changing tires and are referencing the Corsa as the base tire. If you run a 26" tire it would be like increasing the 3.55 to a 3.68.

Cant help but just stare at the width on those bad boys...esp the rears. What are those things rated at for wear? 6k? For the guys who plan to DD, are you budgeting $6k per year for tires?

I am not sure how tire manufacturers measure their tires. My Micky Thompson 345/35-18 are also about 3/4" shorter than advertised (27.3" vs 28").

I thought I read somewhere that tire diameter was measured at max inflation pressure. On my sport cups it's within a 10th or so. by the way max inflation on a cup is 51lbs.

Belted radial don't grow too much. The front spec is 25" and that is what it measured??
