Right now I've got the differential out and I'm about to have the stock gears swapped out for 3.55 gears.
My mechanic commented on the fact that there is only a fill hole on the differential, and maybe the guys putting in the gears could tap in a drain plug for draining the fluids.
Is this wise, or even needed.
Also for you guys who have done this. Are you supposed to use regular fluids with the limited slip additive, run it for 500 miles and then swap out the fluids?
Am I supposed to baby it for that time or just drive it normally?
Plus 500 miles will potentially take a while on the Viper.
Any recommendations on gear oil brands (synthetic?).
-Dean.
