Double click when closing the hood? Hood slightly below front fascia?

I was noticing when closing the hood that the initial click of closing the the hood sets it just above the front fascia. I can push on it again and it clicks one more time which puts the front of the hood just below flush with the front fascia. Is this normal? Im not with the car now, so can't take a pic yet.

Explaining Viper things to you
The first click could be the safety catch engaging on the driver side, and then the final click could be the latches fully engaging the loops on the hood to the final closed position. My hood is ever so slightly below the parallel edge of the fascia when closed. Maybe a 64th at best. You can adjust the latches up and down with shims or the fascia up and down with shims if it bugs you.

Thanks for the replies! Just wanted to make sure I was in the same boat as everyone else since I have heard horror stories with damaging these very expensive hoods!
