Error P1281

I just had a new 180 thermostat installed a month ago.

Question, so how does this affect drivability? Does having a code cause the car to not get full power? I have a Sean Roe 180 thermo I was going to install this week, but need to know if this will cause problems. I have a Gen I, (96 R/T).

It has had no effect on the drivability. I got rid of the code by disconnecting the battery, then reconnecting. The code has not reappeared. It may have been a one time thing. The car had been running fine for the past month.
