ET Streets / BFD DR\'s

Yesterday was the first time I ever ran on Slicks and skinnies. Made three passes on then ET Streets with the best 60' a 1.66.

Put my BFG's on and made three more passes 1.63, 1.61, 1.59 60'.

Are the 28/12.5/16 MT ET's to tall, or do I just need to learn how to launch on them ?

It's been my experience with different cars running slicks that you have to launch them really aggressively. Like 5000 rpm. You want the sidewall to buckle and wrinkle up which acts as a spring to absorb some shock and propel the car forward. You can actually break more stuff launching at too low of an rpm on slicks because there is no "give" anywhere in the driveline.

Of course, I don't know how much your clutch will like that, though!
