Fixing drooping rear driver\'s corner - spring spacer??

I believe I have the Eibach springs on my car (they were on it when I got it). Springs look in fine shape, but the driver's side rear corner sits noticeably lower. Maybe by up to half an inch. I have heard other mention this same phenomenom. I was thinking that perhaps there is such a thing as a donut-shaped spacer I could put under the spring to compensate. Maybe something made out of a very hard durometer polyurethane. Anyone heard of such an item or have any other ideas?

Of course, corner weight adjustment is optimal solution. However, to also solve/investigate your RF brake lockup, try switching the rear springs/shocks side to side. A stiffer-taller LR corner (or a weaker/shorter RR) will add weight to the RF wheel.

Don't know that there is a purchase-able shim to add, but cutting down the other rear aluminum spring hat (what the upper end of the spring rests on) is common. Search for info on them on JonB's site; reducing the aluminum spacer height by 6mm or 5/16" lowers it a little more than 1/2" I think. All you need is someone with a lathe...

Tom I was going to e-mail you about the effect of the driver's rear being lower on the passenger front locking first. It looks like I might have found a polyurethane spacer that is 0.4" (they are sending over a blueprint with dimensions). It seems to me that lifting the left rear slightly will help the right front get grip for braking. In the mean time, I'll inspect the hats and see if there is anything that can be done with them.

I have an idea. Could I simply swap the entire shock/spring/coilover assemblies side to side? That would be much easier than trying to brake down the units to get the springs off. Maybe that is what you meant Tom.

That is what I meant. Be sure to compress the springs (with a jack under the lower control arm) before tightening the bolts.
