Flex Pipe

Has anyone gotten rid of the flex pipe just downstream of the headers and replaced with solid pipe?

On my 2001 I have no flex pipe.

No flex pipe. Front hanger (near collector) removed to prevent cracking and after 40K miles has No problems

what kind of headers you got?

I would like to know this myself. Stainless 1.5" od tubes that appear to be 50 thou.wall. The downstream end of the collector exits as a 2.5" od thru the flex pipe to the elbow. DS end of the elbow is flared to accept 3" piping.

I got rid of the flex pipe, OE cats, OE headers and OE exhaust. See a trend here?
