Floor Mats

Ok, Guys , tell me how to get the floor mats from moving ( towards the gas peddle / clutch ) up while i am driving ? It only happens once in a while.
My other cars have a tab on both sides to keep them in place .
What can I do. Stock 06 Convert/

I thought the stock mats had those. I have them on my 04 at least, but I guess I could have aftermarket mats. There are rings on the side by the seat that fit on some little posts that are spiked through the carpet.

I have the same problem on my '05. I found some rolls of self adhesive Velcro that I used to hang a curtain valance. I need to try that on my floor mats.

I have a 93 with the same issue, factory floormats but there is no circular ring or a hook on the cars carpet to latch it in place. I have a gen 1 and gen 3 camaro that also dont have this and i have the same issue. The velcro idea works in some, in others you might get an annoying bump. I have put it on the bottom side towards the seat because its not noticeable and helps it from sliding up and trying to kill me

Have new after market ones. Came with a plastic hook that just threaded into the carpet. I think black zip ties through a small slit would work fine.

Spread the underside of the floor mat with a tube of contractors liquid nails.

I bought Velcro, I haven't taken it out yet. The other night the carpet slipped behind the clutch, I thought i was going to get into a crash! If, not i will bolt into place. Lol, haha

I had an after market motorcycle seat that was held in place with industrial grade velcro. No proplems with 19,000 miles.

Velcro will work very well, but it needs to be an aggressive, tall hook version to grab the loop fibers of the carpet. Best option is to sew them onto the bottom of the mat, near the seat. To get the velcro to grab the carpet, you need to apply pressure, and "scruntch" (technical term!!) the velcro into the carpet in a circular motion. I use velcro with carpet in seat trim design,(Tier 1 seat engineer), it works great with the right combination of hook and carpet. You can also tack sew the loop of the Velcro to the floor carpet, and then attach the hook on the back of the mat to the loop to achieve a solid lock. I'll try to find the right version of Velcro for the Viper carpet and post.

Have the mopar floor mat https://www.allmoparparts.com/sku/82214080.html and it doesn't really stick on the floor so I added some velcro to make it stick maybe you can try that but it would depend on your mat if you can stick a velcro on it.

Hmm, my car came without mats and I figured I'd get some. Got the Lloyd's as per everyone's recommendation.

What's the preferred way of "bolting" them down? Hook through the carpet - which I'm not quite sure I can do, since the hook is way in the back next to the seat? Alternative is Velcro, any recommendation on which?

I just pulled off the factory plastic covering on the floor area so my floor mats have something to grap…

Plastic covering? I just have carpet and some rubber in the heel area on the driver side. It’s a 2001 RT/10.

It was the factory plastic covering the carpet in the floor board area when they first built the car new for delivery to the dealership. They don’t use the floor matts until the car is sold new and the customer installs them. Apparently in my cars case it was never removed.

Thanks! Yeah, I don't have those. It doesn't feel like it will move, even without Velcro, but figured better safe than sorry. I'll try some heavy duty Velcro and see where that gets me.
