I think I know the answer to my question, but I will ask anyhow. Has anyone had experience with the ****** G-Timer performance meters? I can understand the basic functions (run times, etc.) but calculation of HP????? It would be interesting to find someone who has compared their use of this to actual numbers?

Thanks.

I had a G-Tech performance meter and found it to be unstable and inconvenience to use. It was a major disappointment. It was not easy to set up because the instructions insisted it had to be level to work properly. It was never clear if the meter ever zero'ed at the start of a run because the readings would continually float. Accuracy was questionable. It's definitely tough to drive and run the meter at the same time. I found the unit pricey for the number of times I used. I found little reason to keep the unit long term once I got the readings. I ended up selling it. Not sure about ******'s unit. It's more pricey. Hopefully their unit is bettter and doesn't suffer such woes. If you want horsepower readings, I think you're better off dyno'ing the car.
