Gen 4 hood on Gen 3 car. Which Shocks to Use?

I just got an 05 car with gen 4 hood on it, with blown shocks, so the hood doesn't stand up. I went to a dealer and apparently gen 3 and gen 4 part numbers for hood shocks are different. Could some one tell me if I should go for gen 3 or gen 4 shocks? thank you all.

I have Gen 3 shocks with my Gen 4 hood. Never had a problem.
