Hello, My name is Seth,
I am new to the Board and New to Vipers. I like this Forum much Better than Viper Alley. Well on with my Question. I am going to the 1/4 mile track Sunday... I was wondering if anyone had any tips and around how fast I will run. I have a STOCK 1994 Viper. I was a good 1/4 mile driver in my srt4... cutting many 13.1 @107 back to back. I have seen where stock 1st Gen's run around 12.99@113. how close it that the Real times. Thanks for your help.

Seth... You must have thick skin over at the Alley to stay there.

Running fast times in a Viper is like any other car. A good clean launch and a good 60 ft is the key. With a stock Viper, your first consideration is tires: Pilots or drag radials. Two different launches.

Pilots have a smooth transition of the clutch as not to spin the tires. NEVER lets the tires hoop ...the result will be broken 1/2 shafts.

Drag radials just drop the clutch if you ride the clutch like the Pilots ....you will smoke your clutch.

DO NOT except too much in the first outing...... a good day at the track is NO broken parts.

Good luck ....
