Got the power bug! need advise! don't understand

i am going to be in the market to buy a turbo viper and i'm wondering why it seems that they are all drastically overpriced?? i would like to buy a gen 2 gts with a heffner or underground set up on it.
i just can not understand the pricing??
i think that you can buy a nice gen 2 for $45-50k.
then a turbo set up seems to be around $30k
how come i see these cars for sale for $80k, 90k, 120k and so on.
i don't understand how a blower car like a roe or paxton car does not seem to really add much or any value, but a turbo setup is priceless.??
anyway, i would think that i would be able to buy a gen2 gts with good miles and a twin turbo set up for in the $60's.
if anyone has any insight let me know.

you can find a TT car for $75 or so but not often. i think it depends on all the other mods that the car has done to it. like brakes,roll cage,suspension etc...

thats what is gonna drive the pricetag up.

We were looking at a twin-turbo 1000hp, STRYKER Viper that is the dealers' personal vehicle, he won't sell for less than $129,000 so no deal. His car has $20,000 worth of customized wheels/tires, heavy duty fuel pump, higher boost, all custom exhaust/headers...still not in our price range!! Good luck finding a TT Viper for less than $75K or so..no matter WHAT Gen it is (this was a GenIII, '03)...VERY sweet....but still not worth the price. ~juli~

also keep in mind a stock V10 engine can take a TT setup but the ones that go for more money have tons of internal work done to them and that costs money too.

the more HP you have the more money its gonna cost.

Just give Underground and Heffners a call...they can answer your questions accurately. They may even know of a few TT rides for sale.

and to help you a bit...many TT cars are custom order type vehicles with lots of mods that cost extra. Each vehicle should be assessed individually.

So very true, Toby...as evidenced by the 1000hp twin turbo Stryker Viper ordered and owned by a local dealer..MANY many modifications, too many to even name. Each is individual and ordered BY that individual...to assess cost, probably should have an expert's opinion as Toby also said...agreed~ juli~
