Maybe some of the Colorado Viper Club could meet up with your group for dinner on Tuesday?

There are a ton of great restaurants 1 mile south (down I-25) of the Dury Inn on County line road. We had a Viper event at the Rock Bottom Brewery earlier this summer.

I believe the Colorado Club was leaving the I-70 route with Vipers about 1 hour ahead of your schedule. I have to leave a bit later at around lunch due to work.

Oh, I just noticed that in Colorado you plan a stop at Minturn CO. There is a great steak house there, but I don't think there is gas. Go to the next town of Avon which is where ****** Creak Ski area is and there is more of what you need.

We would like to meet up with the Colorado club for dinner on Tuesday.

Maybe we can adjust our schedule to meet up with the Colorado club on the drive Wednesday.

Who would I need to contact about the Tuesday dinner and meeting on Wednesday?

Thanks for the information!

It was our pleasure. :)

Janey (VCA Ohio Secretary/Treasurer) set up the hotel deals and the room blocks/links. She also checked to make sure all the rest area stops are actually open.

Robert (Mopar Boy) and I (daytonprowler) worked out the route(s).

Kevan (VCA Ohio Viper Truck Liaison) did the physical maps.

Sam (VCA Ohio Merchandising Director) did the modified VOI11 logo and is producing the t-shirts.

Total group effort.:2tu:

So there will be a split between the groups at Denver? I am thinking of hooking up with the group in St. Louis, maybe Kanas.

Is the I-70 group still arriving to SLC on the 29th? Nicely laid out by the way :2tu:

Yes, the split will happen in Denver on the morning of Sept 29th. Members pulling trailers will go with Robert (Mopar Boy) on the Northern Route, and Vipers will go the Scenic Route through the mountains.

The difference in total distance traveled, whether it be Northern or Scenic Routes, is only about 10 miles. Both groups will end up at the Grand America about the same time on Wednesday Sept. 29th.

People following me? Scary! :lmao::devgrin:

Randall, with that in mind, are you still sure we will arrive at the same time? ;)

You guys got navigation devices don'tcha? That way you can just watch the decreasing distance and keep it in sync by letting each other know through CB communication. The Jimmy Train will be coming in from the east on the 29th and would like to simultaneously hook up at the Cheyenne junction with the trailer pullers coming from Denver, so please count on us!

Even with a "foot warmer", a CB isn't going to transmit or receive past the 14,000 ft. mountains that separate the two routes.
GMRS radios won't cut it either.
Cell service will be questionable too, esp. in certain areas.

I just might hookup with you guys. I will be towing a ACR X out for the event. I can push Robert over the hills if I need to as there will be no Yellow on or in my rig. But I might have the Chad with me. We are working that out now.

Did you tell Chad that yellow is leading the convoy? If so did he not decline your offer to hook up? We might have to take defensive measures if Chad is really coming along.
