Group buy for 18\" Forgeline VR1--interested?

I'm looking to see if we can put together a group buy for Forgeline VR1 18" wheels. These would be just like they made in the past but have discontinued. There would be no options for 19"...only 18". 11" and 13" widths. You would have to buy a complete set of 4, 2 fronts, 2 rears. We would have to have 10 sets minimum and they would have to be bought through me. There might be a possibility for you to buy a set later if Forgeline decides to overrun the order but no assurances of availability nor price. Price is not locked in as of yet but would be formalized prior to any acceptance of orders. Estimated price is well under $3500 per set.

Are you interested?

I have 19" polished VR-1's on the front and would like to change to 18" if I can get just the front 2.

If only they made 19's I'd pull the trigger.

Ray W...doubtful

Jimster....that could happen if you get enough buyers perhaps. I didn't ask since I wanted 18". Minimum buy is 10 full sets on the 18s to get their interest.

If there are not 10 folks seriously interested by the end of today I'm just going to kill the effort.

Re: Group buy for 18

Seriously.....if they would make some 19 rears I'd order a set. What's the chance of it happening?

FWIW...why did they stop making 19's in the first place?

Re: Group buy for 18

Jimster...

I don't work for Forgeline so I don't kown the details as to why they stopped making the 1 piece VR1 in 18" and 19". I'd guess it was economics since the 3 piece wheels offer more variables with backspace and width.

I really wanted 18" VR1 so I contacted them to find out the minimum buy requirements, which for me was 10 sets. I've posted on several Viper boards and there is not enough interest it would seem to make this happen. I'll be looking at the SX3R wheel in the same offset now. I know where I can get a slightly used set but they have slightly used tires on them. So I need to unload tires before I get those. It never ends.......:0
