I first installed the kit on my Gen1. I was getting unstable at 120 plus. The Gen1 has an issue with high pressure lifting the front due to the air being trapped under the dam. The kit solved the instability.
I don't believe the Gen2 has the same exact problem, however, the kit also has a plate further back that blocks the high pressure from forming behind the radiator. In practice the high pressure is relieved thru the front opening and the bottom/back plate stops high pressure from forming behind the radiator and reducing air flow thru the core. I can tell you that the underhood air temp will drop after the install.
The under hood temperature drops a lot, espetially with a 180F thermostate.
No stability issue upto 160mph on my Viper.
I just installed an Autoforme splitter and it covers the hole. Now my viper runs about 10F warmer.
In addition this is the first time since I installed it, that my the Roe fan kit (Relay) has started the radiator fan. I thought that the kit was defective but in fact the cooling duct was too good.
In my opinion it is a great upgrade.
Yes it is tought to cut out the bumper but it worth.
This is something that I would do again if I had another Viper.
