I'm interested in people's experiences with it. I'm inclined against it, since I understand you have to put holes in the truck lid to install it(?), and for its appearance, but I'd like to hear if people have found it useful. Also, on at least one site, it suggests that it would hold the hardtop, but that seemed unlikely given its size, so any info on that would be appreciated.

Slaughter, you're kidding me, right? Both you guys. You're not going to do this are you? Do it to your Mustang and that S2000 whatever that is. Slaughter, you're just trying to get even with me for something aren't you? What did I do? I showed you around Tampa, we did some racing, Gerald, Antonio and I checked out your Viper before you bought it. Where did I go wrong?

Hey, I said I was inclined against it, I just knew it existed and never heard anyone talk about it!! Don't fear Chuck and Viper99!

I always hedge when giving an attorney advice. But I start my clock !

1) Yes, it holds the hardtop alright. While parked! Above 25mph it becomes a sailboard.

2) The 1992-1996 RT was notoriously nose-light twitchy. Fastening anything to the trunk, especially anything un-aerodynamic, will severaly lower your top-speed and your handling ability at high speeds. (You have a 98....less of a concern, but still a real concern if you blast above 100mph)

3) The strap-on rack with integral spoiler made a great IMPRESSION on a couple of VOI-3 users. The IMPRESSION was the permanent webstrap marks in the clearcoat after 2500 miles.
The aero-fect was NASTY and they could NOT travel with us in parts of Montana.

[ I did not mention any brand names.......the info is just as valid. ]
