Hi flow cats or mufflers for my \'94?

Ok guys, I did a search and read all I could about hi flow cats and removing the cats all together. Problem is, I do NOT want the car any louder. My main reason for wanting to do some thing with the cats is to reduce the heat in the cabin and sills. S o i have a couple questions:

Will putting hi flow cats on make the car much louder?

Should I just replace the cats with some sort of muffler in stead?

If I dump the cats and go with mufflers do I need any thing else?(sensors)

I am not concerned about emissions testing.

Thanks for any help guys!

I have Snake Oyl high flow cats and mufflers and have been very happy. Cabin heat came down somewhat but still gets warm. Sounds really good on acceleration and even better when downshifting, I get that "popping" sound.

That is a tough one....removing the cats totally and adding some mufflers is going to create way more noise than you want. I went the Roe Hi-Flow Cat/exhaust combo...noise is VERY loud...don't go that route.

I also have the Roe system. It is definitely louder (Borla mufflers?), but the Hi flow cats have definitely reduced the heat on the sidesills and inside the car. There was also a noticable performance gain. Call Roe racing and talk to Sean or Dave maybe they fix you up with cats that will work with the stock mufflers.
