How many of you have \"BROKEN\" your stock Crank Damper?

I know the stock crank damper can "spin" on the crank causing a bunch of damage, but how many of you have actually broken the casting on the stock damper without spinning it? I think I heard that the stock damper's casting is pretty weak. I am about to order my ATI damper from JonB.. (Plus support your vendors of this site).

I still have my stock damper on that is pinned, but ATI is the way to go and it's just preventative maintanance on my end.

Call JonB and tell him ab sent ya! He will cut you an awesome price. I don't think anyone can beat it. Not even Summit.

I upgraded to the ATI Damper when I was installing my Roe. Jon's price cant be beat. I would boil the hub a little longer then ATI recommends. I would also pre-drill the hub if possible.

Re: How many of you have

I think on high horse power cars the stock damper can still break because of the lousy casting the stock damper is made of, that is why I was wondering if anyone out there had broken theirs. Not spun it, but actually broke the casting itself.
