How to lower an SRT

Anyone know where and how much to lower an SRT-10. I would like to lower it 1/2 to 3/4 inch. On the safe side for the stock shocks which I heard have problems if you lower it too much.

I have a spare set of shocks to work with to make things easier. Unlike Gen I/II the stock springs do not look easy to cut as one side is ground and the other is closed (I believe Gen I/II were open at the bottom end).

Thoughts/suggestions?

I think parts rack has some kind of "caps" that can help you lower it (not very expensive either)

Thanks. These look like a good alternative to reducing the springs. Has anyone tried these?
