how to remove emblem on front fascia?

How do I remove the viper emblem from the front of my fascia before I take it to get painted? Also what do I use to re-apply it after paint?

id let them take it off and then buy a new one from jonB at pasrtrack.com to replace it.

I took a heatgun, and it came right off tape and all, no residue. Went to autozone and bought some 3m moulding tape and reapplied, looks great. But I would do what plum said, and have them remove it since they are painting it anyways, and they will put it back on for you.

I can let them take it off but I can't imagine I need to buy a new one. They must be able to be re-applied.

I just had the front fascia repainted on my GTS a few wks ago, and the shop took the emblem off and reapplied it

 

[V 10 MAFIA]

I cut mine off with water and fishing string and then just put on a new one.
