How to repair this damage ?

All,

The front side of my side sill (inside the wheel well) got punctured by a tree branch. I was actually quite surprised to see part of a branch sticking out of there . Here's some pics (side sills removed -they are being painted this week) :

Anybody any advice on how to repair ? Since the orginal material is still attached, should I just try to glue it with some Super Epoxy ? Or would that be a dangerous situation in view of the temperatures inside the side sill ?

In my opinion, it would be better to replace with stainless steel sidesill vents. They drop sidesill temperature dramatically, even after a long drive on a hot day, you can touch the sidesills without burning yourself. Plus they look cool.

regular fiberglass should do it. Also they make an epoxy that would do it to that is real strong!
