My front wheel just developed a 3" crack on inner barrel two days after ViperDays. Tire went flat in about 30 minutes.
I sent the wheel to HRE. They need to replace the inner barrell (no duh) but also want to replace outer because of .030" runout. Is this a lot? Total cost of both barrels and refinishing will be $490. Price seems OK, but I don't know if .030" runout is noticeable or not. I tend to flat spot tires a little at the track anyway. What do you think?
