Are you replacing OEM ones?

I don’t remember having that much trouble with mine when I switched to RSI lines all around. Especially on the fan side.

I replaced them with aftermarket an ones during my paxton SC install and I recall the fan connectors being extremely tight. I was worried about rounding them off or breaking the fan fitting.

In the end I was able to bust them loose but I did consider cutting the hose and using a socket to avoid damage. I dont see an issue with that if you have the replacement parts.

Im also trying to remember if it may be possible if you have the connection off the pump to slide the box end down the length of hose to the fan connector.

Try a brake line wrench. It should fit, but if not, grind the outside down to make it fit

Yes thanks for the help I finally was able to put a wrench on it thru the frame cross members and put a large extention on the wrench and finally it came off. it was an original hose I had replaced the upper fitting once now the upper hose end in the pump just came out so I ordered new lines from Havik in Pa got them but I do believe the hose diameter is smaller than the originals and concerned with enough volume to work steering an fan. will see can anyone reccomend good ps hoses. and oil cooler lines as well.

By the way the original pressure line on the pump has a 45 degree bend to the pump and a right angle to the fan/ But with Havik I used the right angle to the pump and the 45 to the fan that way I kept the top hose to go under the radiator hose. actually should use both right angle fittings made that suggestion to them. The alternator when the hose came off got soaked with fluid and stopped charging I took it off and cleaned it with electrical contact spray and works ok now.
