I don't want to sound like a broken record, but was just wondering will the ipod kit work with my stock Viper deck?? My car is a 03 with the indash 6 stacker?? If the ipod kit works will any info show uop on my deck ie song or artist?? And will I be able to control the ipod via my deck?? I've searched the posts but it seems like most of the guys have gone to the RB1, I don't really need the navagation as I hardly drive the car and when I take it out I know where I'm going :drive: I just want to be able to listen to some good tunes!!!! As usual thanks for all the info!!!:2tu:

Thanks for all the info guys...No I haven't upgraded the speakers yet, I want to be able to play my ipod first! Final GTS I see on your site you have the ipod control, I'll likely give you a call in the next few weeks and order one up!!!

Dan, can you explain the extension cable and normal install. Do you run the cable into the glove box so that you can store the Ipod there?

I use one of the FM modulators to play my IPOD in my GTS. Works great. I get no static or interference. Sound quality is as good as any other FM radio station, if not better.

Normal install would put the controller "behind" the A/C control panel, on top of the Air Bag Control Module. The iPod cable is then run to either of the glove boxes. No extension cable is needed.

A custom install for another location such as under the seat or somewhere else in the dash would require extension harnesses.

There is plenty of cable with the the package. I mounted the control box above my glove box and the ipod is in my center console and there was still plenty of cable.

How hard is it to install? Could I do it myself?..... might be a stupid question...:dunno:
Also, what speakers can you buy that will fit without modification? Or do all 6 1/2 inch speakers fit? If you can't tell I want to change the audio system but have no idea what I am doing.

I was trying to find some space above the glove box, but the damn glove box would not close with the kit above it . I might be blind or stupid or both... :( Could you post a picture of your exact mounting location??? Thanks!
