1995, 50k miles, $36,500.

I know I may get burned at the stake but that seems like way too much. Finance another 5 grand and get yourself a nice 97 or 98 with several nice perks over the 95 with half the miles.

Where are you located?

to some, raw torque & sidepipes are the perks!

36.5 does seem high for that. closer to 32-33 would seem fair IMO.

Ok, the thing most are missing is that it has the VENOM 600 PACKAGED. So given that it dynos over 525 RWHP(get it checked prior to the sale), I would say it's a pretty good deal :2tu: Also keep in mind, you could buy Newports Viper(why you selling? :( ) and put a Roe S/C on it and get near 600 RWHP for about the same money.

A little high but you are paying for the package which is not too shabby. Also I would keep in mind that the package is adding quite a bit of power, so keep that in mind. It is a lot different that driving a stock Viper, especially in a GEN I.

Good luck!

He's going to have a hard time selling it. Offer him 34 grand or even less, tell him you have the money ready and let him stew for a while. After a week he will probably take it. I realize the car has the venom package, but it's still an "old" viper with "lots" of miles. I worry about modified cars unless I know the seller is honest and knowledgeable of the car. Get the complete history of the car.

Have you ever driven a viper or ridden in one? I would go drive both a GEN 1 and a GEN 2. The refined features of the GEN 2 might change your mind.

Newport, I would be kinda interested in your car if you were on the Right coast.

Also remember that Newports car will cost 1500 or so to ship across country. If our friend above wants to see the car in person, he will have to spend 500 bucks for airfare.

I personally would spend the money and get a GEN2, but if you like the GEN1 or dont want to spend too much, go with Newport's car since you would be saving the 6 grand over the other car, on a car with less miles but also without the Venom Package. Make sure you do a carfax on any car you are looking at and find out if any member on here knows about the car personally. As far as that Venom 600 Package goes, just make sure the car has the dyno sheet to prove the horsepower as there have been rumors for a very long time about early venoms. Either way you go, you'll be getting a great car for a decent price.

I personally would stick to the Yellow one above for the following reasons:
Stock
Stock
Cheaper
Stock
Black Wheels
No Stripes
Cat-Back Exhaust
& Stock

Did I mention stock? You can't go wrong with a stock car, especially one from the board that I'm sure you could find a lot of information about. Either way you go, you can't go wrong, good luck.

Looks like I will be moving to Denver sometime?.......soon. No established date.

I think mine would be a great 1st hot rod or second car for someone in SoCal. It is a daily driver for me. SoCal climate makes it pretty easy to live with a gen 1. ( lack of rain.)

I just can't see a Gen 1 in Denver.
