Larger Roe crank pulley for increased boost

Ok, can we try to stay on topic this time. I did't want to add to the original diverging thread.

If one adds a larger crank pulley and get higher boost from the Roe how would that affect the other components that are being drivin? Would they spin faster and how would that affect performance and reliability? If an alternator spins faster you would generate more current and I would guess has little to no affect on durability. What about the power steering? Is you steering effort lower and is there greater chance of breaking the plastic pulley? AC compressor, does the AC blow colder and cool down faster? Is your AC system at a higher pressure now that the compresor is spinning faster?

It would be great to have higher boost but at what cost?

If you go from a 3.07 gear to a 3.55 gear or just ride around in 5th instead of 6th the air will be colder and the battery will charge better ? :)

If the blower pulley is spinning faster wouldn't it hold true for the rest of the pulley's? There must be some type of pressure regulators in each system.

BTW, the final drive ratio isn't a good comparison because the components driven off the crank are dependant on engine speed not drive train speed.

Yes, all the pulley's spin faster with a larger crank pulley. What Tony is saying is that they also spin faster with gears and RPM. Get the Weaver pulley and upgrade the PS pulley AND bracket. You will make more boost but must have heads to take advantage of it.

Voltage regulator for the alternator. You are correct, the other pulleys will be turning faster.
The final drive ratio mostly (and somewhat the drive train speed) and the engine speed are very related ;)
I don't know how much faster the other pulleys would be, but it is probably safe to say they would be spinning the same as if you were driving in 4th or 5th gear instead of 6th gear.
