I agree... the site painfully SLOW.....

We agree too.... some things have happend, and a lot has not happened, and we apologise for that.
We did find a few problems, bad hard drives (2). We maxed out the servers RAM, and we also changed the backup to a different time and went from tape to incremental drive style backup. This did not do the trick
So, here are the current plans:
First: New Database server is being speced out, budget was approved at the last VCA Board meeting. We hope to have in on order in the next few weeks or so.
Second: Forums Software update is long overdue. This will be done once the new server is up and running. We will upgrade to the latest version of our current software (UBB Threads), and look at moving to a new BB as Threads is at the end of the road and is no longer being updated or supported.
Third, we need to pare off some of the older posts, Arcive the good ones, and trash the ones not worth their server space. We have one person working on this now, could use a few good volunteers (with good judgement
)
