My 97 gts door kept sticking on me this weekend. It will close ok, but when opening it seems to get hung up after moving about 1/2 inch.
My drivers door wont open ***???

Could be a broken hinge. Either that or it needs adjusting.

I had the same problem with mine. It seems that when you open the door fully the hinge overtravels and gets bound up. I had to get home so I forced it closed and something snapped. I ended up having the hing replaced but it happened again. I think they had a design change and replaced the hinge for a second time. It seems to have fixed the problem.
O.K. "BOTTOM LATCH" IS NOT A LATCH, IT IS ONLY A STABILIZER.
CHECK FOR CONTACT AT THE REAR OF THE DOOR INTERIOR TRIM PANEL AND THE DOOR OPENING WEATHERSTRIP ON THE BODY. VERY FREQUENTLY THE WEATHERSTRIP WILL START TO COME AWAY FROM THE BODY AND THAN COMBINED WITH A HINGE THAT IS SLOWLY STARTING TO SAG, THE TRIM PANEL GETS HUNG UP ON THE STRIP. YOU DONT NOTICE IT WHEN CLOSING BECAUSE YOU HAVE MORE LEVERAGE. IF THE STRIP IS PULLING AWAY, USE YOUR HANDS TO MAKE SURE IT IS PROPERLY POSITIONED ON THE BODY AND THAN YOU CAN USE A RUBBER MALLET TO GENTLY COAX IT BACK INTO THE PROPER POSITION FULLY AGAINST THE BODY. MOST LIKELY THE HINGE IS ALSO STARTING TO GO THOUGH. CHECK TO SEE IF THE BOTTOM OF THE DOOR IS STARTING TO MAKE CONTACT WITH THE SILL.

Had the same problem with the trim tommygun mentions . I also had trouble with the spring that holds the door open. It cracked and broke ,holding the door open. I had to remove the inner panel just in front of the door to get to it. I was at the track so I broke it off the rest of the way so I could close my door.
