Daytona just started. I saw the Z06 as the pace car. Maybe next year the Viper could be the pace car. It would have more HP than any of the cars in the field...LOL.. at least at the restrictor plate races. So how many of you guys are fans of NASCAR? I get to at least one race a year. This year it will be Vegas in 3 weeks.

I've been to one Nascar race several years ago and enjoyed it, but do not consider myself a fan or keep up with Nascar. Something about watching cars drive around in a circle on TV does NOTHING for me. Watching in person is 10000% better

Not a big fan (I agree with Chad), my father is though. A different career path may lead me to a position where I would have some interaction with them, which I would imagine, would change my perspective.

I can't stand NASCAR - living proof of the old communist
concept of "Every car and driver are equal, but some drivers
are way more equal than everyone else."

(It has been said here before) I don't think pro wrestlers
are pushovers. I think they train very hard and have to do
some incredible athletic feats to be great at their jobs, but
like NASCAR I would never consider WWF a fair fight or
competition - it's merely another soap opera for men.

Pretty hard to compare NASCAR to WWE. Of course the actors in wrestling are in great shape and have to train lots to do the stunts that they do but every single match is predetermined who wins. They are merely actors in the ring. There is no way to predetermine who wins a race in Nascar. One thing I have noticed is that Nascar no longer lets the drivers have a personality. You cant say anything wothout getting a fine. The drivers seem like little puppets and everything seems pre written for them. I still enjoy watching and attending but it has become too white collar for me. Too many rules.

It's easier to equate the NFL and NBA to WWE than it is NASCAR. The NFL and NBA are full of a bunch of big mouth, look-at-me, clowns acting like idiots everytime they do their job like score sack a QB, score a TD or dunk a ball.

Come see it in person Chad. I have a reserved spot on turn 4 that I renew every year for the Pepsi 400 in July at Daytona. You are more than welcome to come join us, you would only have to pay for infield admission. Great time and great food.

Of course it does. My bro-in-law and I fly into Orlando on Friday, rent a car, drive to the track, and have friends that bring the food and beverages and we stand on top of their vans and watch the race on Sat. night. We'll talk .

Road racing's a beautifull thing from the cars to the track.

The most entertainment you could have at a Nascrap event
is watching a toothless wonder choke on a corndog.

Being right beside the action with cars crashing and burning around you is even more exciting. I would be bored to death sitting in the stands watching a race. Here's some pictures from the old picture files. #27 is BP. http://www.photoreflect.com/scripts/prsm...0&adjust=-1

Clint Bowyer, the guy who went across the finish line upside down is in the black car in this shot. http://www.photoreflect.com/scripts/prsm...0&adjust=-1
