I have a Viper using an AEM computer.

Here's the situation:

1. Car has a larger fuel system and larger injectors. Fuel system pressurizes fine.
2. Car was running, but it was running on the basic map that AEM gives out to tune. Car ran after the the new fuel system but very rich. I let the car run for about 10 minutes. It started to putter out and then died.
3. Car will not start now. When the car is turning over there is spark. Pulled a few plugs out and the plugs were caked with carbon. Cleaned the plugs off but the car still does not start. I pulled a few plugs and seemed to be dry when they should be wet since the car would not start but the fuel system was pressurized.

My question is:

Does the AEM learn off the wide band O2 sensors? I am thinking that the computer may have seen a rich fuel situation and it cut back on the injectors to the point where it's not getting fuel. Any idea?

Thanks.

Adam -

Call me. Easy stuff. Short answer: it can. If you send me the program i can go over it with you. most of the time with vipers, we don't use O2 Sensor Feedback...
