What is the symptom.
What is the symptom.
Took it to a trusted mechanic and he said he was 100% sure it was the tranny.![]()
Just bought a used transmission from DSA Automotive (Don Scharf). They have been great so far. I will let everyone know how it works out.![]()
One more time - what was the symptom.
I hope you are right, the same type of sound more commonly comes from the rear-end. A cheap check could be putting a bottle of the friction modifier fluid into the rear. You might also be able to partially pin it down by road testing and see if the noise is rpm (in a specific gear) or speed related.
