Hello, my name is Dominick Schiavoni.
In achieving my longtime goal to get my viper, I would like to thank my mom and dad as without them this wouldn’t have been possible. They raised me and my bro & sis with high standards and helped to teach us every step of the way though schooling, life, family, and pursuing our interests. Furthermore they taught us the financial basics to live by such as; saving money, not getting in “bad” debt, investing, and most importantly being practical and efficient with money.

You know how you always hear people say: I want my kids to have it better then I did, or some version of that? …Well I always think to myself: “When I have kids, how am I going to fill the shoes of my parents to raise mine like they raised me’’ and I think that says a lot.

So, again, Thanks Mom & Dad

I’ve been a viper enthusiast since 1996(14yrs old). It began when I read an article about the viper entitled Keen On Wheels in our local news paper. I’ll never forget that day as I saw the picture and read the article as it was somewhat of a turning point in my life to strive for the best. I could go on and on about my passion for the viper, but I’ll just spare y’all and skip to the end.

97 B/W GTS , ya’ll know what it is…

I hope y’all are happy to hear that this precious car made it into the right hands.

Welcome Dom. Blue and White is the only way to go for a GenII IMHO. My parents gave me somewhat the same lessons. Patience is a good thing. Enjoy.

Dom, Congratulations on one of the finest examples of the Viper out there, the '97 B/W GTS~~! Take Lee's advice, get the VIN # pm'd to him, and he'll have you updated to Viper Owner as quick as he can.
Can't wait to see your pics...ViperFever--there is no cure, thankfully!!! ~juli

Congrats Dom! I have been in love with the Viper since 96 as well, and I second the compliments to the parents. I owe my current situation in life and finances to them and hopefully it will help bring a Viper into my life in the near future.

and also.... Pics! Pics! Pics! Pics! :D

There ARE Vipers in Delaware. Put your VIN in your profile so I can upgrade you to Viper owner. PM me for details about joining VCA.

Dom,
This is the guy you need to PM with all your information-VIN and your profile filled out.
He is a moderator and will give you all the details about joining the VCA.
Hope this helps.

I updated you to "Viper Owner", but as far as perks here on the forum go, there are none over being an Enthusiast. It just identifies you as owning a Viper. We would LOVE to have you join the club though...that's where the real benefits kick in! What benefits you say? Glad you asked:

If you have questions or need any help, feel free to PM Lee00BlackSilverGTS or myself!

with all due Respect Kelly - I don't mind being called an Enthusiast, it's what I am anyway.....regardless of what Car(s) I own.

But for the new guy, young guy-thanks Mom n Dad, etc........he should join the VCA outta the gate, get involved, see what's going on in his region. Then decide later if it's for him or not, or if he will have the "time" to devote and/or desire. Ones schedule can throw a real damper on everything in life - even a simple Owners Group membership. Hence, my Enthusiast status.......

I never said being listed as an Enthusiast was a bad thing. This website/club is hardly snob central! I was merely mentioning it so that he would know that the "Viper Owner" title doesn't carry with it any additional access or features here on the site. :2tu:

Never thought once it was snob central - nothing wrong with belonging to any group that makes ya feel normal. I understood your explanation to the new kid.

I'm just the type that doesn't want to join a group, unless I can really participate - and when you don't work the normal Mon-Fri, 8-4, work weekends, nights, etc. - it's not that easy, just food for thought.

Agreed 100%. I've missed many an event (not just with the VCA) due to work conflicts. As an IT guy, I'm often victim to the "computers never sleep and rarely break on a weekday" syndrome. :D

We joined mostly to support the site...we hear ya about work preventing attending events...Mike works 365 days a year...we're lucky if we can attend 2 events a year, ONLY if he gets a driver to cover, which is rare...so I hear ya!! ~juli
